It is such an honor to serve our community alongside a staff dedicated to helping each and every student achieve their highest level. It is abundantly clear that this school is a unique and special place and I can assure you that I share in this school community’s commitment to providing the absolute best education for our students.

The elementary years are a critical and important time for our students' growth and development. Research indicates that the learning gains for children in grades K-2 are dramatically greater than those for subsequent years of school and whether or not a child can read proficiently by third grade is a powerful predictor of later school and life outcomes. As a building leader, my goal is to foster a school culture that is safe, supportive and inclusive so that all children may master the skills needed for whatever challenges are placed before them.

Our mission statement “Together We Make a Difference” is more meaningful than ever in these unique times as we navigate a new approach to learning and teaching. While there are sure to be several challenges in the upcoming school year, there are also going to be many opportunities to learn and grow together and I am confident that by working together we will be able to meet the unique needs of each of our students.

Developing strong relationships with the entire school community will be a major focus for me this year. As principal, I welcome your input and encourage you to reach out to me with your ideas, questions or concerns so that we can make this year the best it can be.
