Did you know that Carnation Elementary has a Native Plant Science Garden?

A great deal of planning, preparation and hard work has gone into its creation. The project was led by teachers Dani Geitzke and Erica Parkin with support from many staff members and our Student Green Team, which is mentored by Ms. Bohl and Mrs. Parkin.

CE’s PTSA and REF also supported our project with grants for tools, student life science items, books, gravel, and much more.

A Special thank you to…

  • March of the Vegetables

  • Mark Edwards

  • Sarah Thomas

  • The Skeem Family

  • The Ghioni Family

  • Avondale Bark

  • DeJong Sawdust and Shavings

  • Anonymous plant donor

  • Carnation and Duvall community members

  • And all others who donated their time, tools, knowledge, and much more!
